Optocouplers

Broadcom Optocouplers provide a reliable isolation solution in applications such as variable-speed drives, electric vehicles, induction cookers, and solar inverters. The devices are the preferred solution for insulation and isolation. The Broadcom Optocouplers feature isolation amplifier (iso-amps) products with higher performance and smaller packages.

ACNT-H511 Optocouplers

Broadcom ACNT-H511 Optocouplers are single-channel open-collector output optocouplers in a stretched SO8 footprint. The device uses an insulating layer between the light emitting diode and an integrated photon detector to provide electrical insulation between input and output. Separate connections for the photodiode bias and output transistor collector increase the speed up to a hundred times over that of a conventional phototransistor coupler by reducing the base-collector capacitance.
