FTDI FT2232H / FT4232H Hi-Speed USB ICs

The FTDI FT2232H high-speed USB IC and FT4232H high-speed USB IC are USB 2.0 devices that operate at 480 Mbps. These FTDI ICs feature standard UART and FIFO modes but each IC also supports FTDI´s bit-bang modes and contains two multi-protocol synchronous serial engines (MPSSEs) to allow communication using JTAG, I2C, and SPI protocols.

FTx232H Dual/Quad Hi-Speed USB ICs

FTDI FTx232H Dual/Quad Hi-Speed USB ICs are 5th generation USB devices with a USB 2.0 high speed (480Mb/s) to UART/MPSSE or UART/FIFO ICs. The FTDI FTx232H-56Q are single-chip USB to dual or quad serial ports with various configurations. The entire USB protocol is handled on the chip with no USB-specific firmware programming required.

High-Speed USB Bridge ICs with Type-C Controllers

FTDI Chip High-Speed USB Bridge ICs with Type-C/PD 3.0 Controllers fully support the latest USB Type-C and Power Delivery (PD) standards. This enables the support for power negotiation with the ability to sink or source current to USB host devices. These high-speed USB bridge devices feature up to two PD ports viz, PD1 port and PD2 port. The PD1 port shares the same Type-C connector with USB data and the PD2 port is the power port only without USB data. The high-speed USB bridge ICs support 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V PDO profiles and these profiles are configurable through an external EEPROM at power-up/reset.
