FB & FE Medium Power DC Filtering Film Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX FB and FE Medium Power DC Filtering Film Capacitors use a non-impregnated metalized polypropylene dielectric that is specially treated to have a high dielectric strength in operating conditions up to +105°C. These capacitors offer performance characteristics that make them a viable alternative to aluminum electrolytic technology due to a much lower ESR and much higher surge voltage capability (dv/dt). KYOCERA AVX FB and FE capacitors have been designed for printed circuit board mounting and have an operating temperature range from -40°C to +100°C with a voltage range from 550V to 1200V.  The FE series offers a capacitance range from 3.3µF to 75µF, while the FB series has a capacitance range from 0.68µF to 75µF.

KYOCERA AVX provides a large portfolio of capacitor solutions designed around density, size, and reliability requirements. Common capacitor types include aluminum electrolytic, tantalum electrolytic, ceramic, and film. KYOCERA AVX ceramic capacitors are commonly used in DC-DC converters, which can be found in nearly every subsystem of electric vehicles (EVs).
