Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection

Littelfuse Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection ensures a long operating life, increased energy efficiency, and safety. LEDs can be damaged by voltage or current surges, and by extreme temperatures. Littelfuse circuit protection technology protects LED assemblies from potential damage. Important circuit protection technologies include metal-oxide varistors (MOVs), transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes, and fuses.

0603L Resettable Fuses

Littelfuse 0603L Resettable Fuses provide surface mount overcurrent protection for applications with premium space and resettable protection is desired. These Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) devices feature low resistance, low profile, and fast response to fault currents. The 0603L resettable fuses include a compact design that saves board space and compatible with high-temperature solders. These fuses operate at -40°C to +85°C temperature range and 0.5W power dissipation. Typical applications include USB peripherals, disk drives, CD-ROMs, game console port protection, and PDAs / digital cameras.

PolySwitch Surface Mount Resettable PTCs

Littelfuse PolySwitch Surface-Mount (SMD) Resettable PTCs provide overcurrent protection for applications where space is at a premium, and resettable protection is desired. The components are reliable and capable of protecting computer and consumer electronics against temporary overcurrent faults. Package size varies from 0402 to 3425, while the current hold ranges from 50mA to 7.0A. The Littelfuse PolySwitch SMD product family is qualified to strict automotive standards (following the AECQ200 specification). As a result, these PTCs are suitable for protecting Electronic Control Units (ECUs) against damage from faults that would otherwise require costly, complete module replacement.
