Reed sensors are reed switches that are packaged within an external housing for simplified mounting/connecting and additional protection against environmental influences. Littelfuse Reed Sensors are typically mounted in mechanical systems.

59040 Reed Sensors

Littelfuse 59040 Reed Sensors are small, cylindrical reed sensors 31.0mm (1.22") long that press into a 9.5mm (.375") diameter hole with a choice of normally open, normally closed, or change-over contacts. Littelfuse 59040 is capable of switching up to 200V_DC at 10W contact rating. An extensive range of sensitivity with a specified cable length is available. The housing color is white. It has three crush ribs along the length of the capsule that allow a firm and fixed press-fit. 59040 is well-suited for use in a wide range of industrial, appliances, or IoT proximity sensing applications. It functions best with a 57040 actuator.
