Phoenix Contact Fiber Optic M12 Cable Assemblies & Connectors provide robust, watertight connection solutions for POF, PCF, and GOF fibers. Features include cables constructed from 2.2mm individual wires made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), rugged polyurethane (PUR) outer sheath, highly tear-resistant aramid strain relief elements, and gradient index fiber for maximum performance requirements in terms of transmission bandwidth. The design protects the sensitive ferrules and fiber end surfaces during contacting and assembly. The offering is available in male to male cable assemblies and female cable and panel mount couplings. Designers can use panel feed-throughs with an integrated transceiver or couplings for the integration of the M12 fiber optics connection into electronic or control cabinet housings. The transceiver integrated in the panel feed-through allows direct opto-electrical conversion. With IP65 and IP67 degrees of protection, these connectors are ideal for use in the industrial environment and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet systems.
