TAIYO YUDEN MCOIL™ Automotive Metal Power Inductors feature two flagship models: the LCCN series with an ultra-compact 1005 size and the LCEN wire-wound series that reduces core loss by around 30%. MCOIL automotive inductors utilize metallic magnetic materials that are optimized for choke coils in power supply circuits of automotive devices. Features include high current capacity, low resistance, and low core loss in a compact design due to the proprietary metallic materials, processes, and structures. TAIYO YUDEN MCOIL Automotive Metal Power Inductors are suitable for meter clusters, telematics, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Ultra-Compact, Low-Profile MCOIL™ Power Inductors

TAIYO YUDEN Ultra-Compact, Low-Profile MCOIL™ Power Inductors combine the advantages of both layered structures and metal materials through proprietary material and heat treatment technologies. Even with their ultra-compact and low-profile design, these modules offer low resistance and high current capabilities. Compared to ferrite products with the same inductance value, this series demonstrates approximately 53% lower resistance, 54% smaller case size, and about three times higher current capacity.

MCOIL™ LCCN Multilayer Metal Power Inductors

TAIYO YUDEN MCOIL™ LCCN Multilayer Metal Power Inductors employ metallic magnetic materials that exhibit excellent DC bias characteristics. These power inductors operate at a 2.6A to 4.8A maximum rated current range and a 20mΩ to 85mΩ maximum DC resistance range. The MCOIL™ LCCN multilayer power inductors offer up to 1µH inductance and are RoHS, REACH compliant, and AEC-Q200 qualified. Typical applications include telecommunications infrastructure, industrial equipment, small DC/DC converters, and general electronic equipment.
